Good for around the house / Bad for precision work

I struggled with rating this product. Overall, it’s a solid drill with good features and is perfect for simple around the house work and for that I’d give it 4 or 5 stars. It does however wobble significantly, it isn’t particularly fast and it doesn’t have a dual-speed switch like many other brands. The wobble is a big issue when using hole saws or spade bits. So I would not recommend this drill for wood workers, anyone doing precision work, or for job sites / industrial use.

Big boy pants!

This drill set is awesome! Moved into my first apartment so thought it was time to put on my big boy pants and buy my own tools instead of borrowing them from friends or family it’s far from name brand and if you have idea about tools or work with them you can definitely tell the difference. But this set allows you to do 90% of the jobs around the house without busting the bank. Well made and the battery hold its charge for awhile. The drill bits are low quality as I said before but they work as long as you aren’t careless or ruff with them. This is the little drill that could so if your using it don’t try and force it down more because you will strip the bit or break the drill neck.

Best. Purchase. Ever. Heaps of torque, variable speed, GREAT PRICE

In short: the overall best purchase I have made in last months.

Horrible battery!

Bought in 2013, great drill itself, but HORRIBLE battery! You use fully charge, use once and it’s dead the next day! I wish I could get a coupon code to buy the High Capacity Battery at a lower price! I need to replace the original battery.

Drill unit, pretty good, included driver bits are terrible

Alright for round the house duties. At it’s sale price ( I paid $30) it’s a good value proposition, more than that tempts one to move up in quality. Haven’t had mine for long, but have drilled some holes, and installed some hardware with it. Main reason I stopped by is to warn potential buyers that the included driver bits are junk. They seem to be made from the same grade of metal as the screws I was trying to drive in. Two rounded off, and wouldn’t drive a screw while just installing 6 screws. I grabbed a phillips head bit from another tool set (a no name set itself) and had no further issues. So, buyer beware, if, like me you just moved and left tools behind, this alone won’t make you happy. Get some decent driver bits and drill bits while you’re shopping and you’ll be OK. Again, though, if you’re used to nice tools, this is not going to stand up to more expensive units from major tool makers.

mediocre drill, great price

Not a great drill. You can really feel the difference between it and a proper Dewalt or Makita in terms of handling and performance. Main complaint is the battery. Worked ok for awhile (though never great lasting power). Now, a year later, it doesn’t seem to hold a charge, which means that anytime I want to use it I need to plan at least an hour in advance to start charging, which is pretty frustrating. I’m giving it 3 stars because it’s not a truly terrible drill and you can’t be the price and because the battery wasn’t this bad in the beginning.

Perfect Drill for the house!

Perfect for my household needs. Someone broke in and stole my other drill…. go figure. Anyhow…. this drill was a surprisingly happy replacement! It has a light that comes on when you’re drilling and it’s super lightweight. It came with a case and a series of bits that works perfectly for what I need! Love it!
