The Bosch PS11 12V Max Right Angle Drill/Driver is the only tool in its class to include two LED lights that articulate with the chuck to effectively illuminate dark work spaces. It has a 3/8-inch auto lock chuck with simple bit replacements for a variety of applications, including anything from driving 3 inch screws, drilling a pilot hole, or using a ¾ inch spade bit. The Bosch PS11 is significantly faster than the current competition in Lithium-Ion, the PS11 has a compact size, making it small enough to reach into narrow spaces and corners. It weighs only 2.75 pounds and offers a soft grip handle for improved ergonomics and a secure grip.
Well Built, Good Power, Could Use Additional Features Found on PS10
Solidly built. Conventional chuck has quick-ratio tightening ring. Work light is very useful in dimly lit work area. Battery charge status meter is also welcome feature. Head movement is solid and smooth. What’s missing is the torque control sliding switch found on the PS10. Easy to accidentally rev the drill and over-torque a screw, which I did on a couple of occassions. On my PS10 I could set a light load and prevent over torqueing. Another additional convenience missing is a loop wire for hanging, as found also on the PS10. Minor note: the soft case isn’t as nice as the one provided with the PS10 (no loops for bit pieces, no compartment divider to separate drill from charger and batteries.
Ht or miss
After struggling with this thing to remove the battery in order to charge it, I gave up and contacted Bosch support. I received a reply stating that this was not that rare an issue and requesting more info, product #, ser. # when purchased, etc. I replied right away.
Great gift and perfect for home improvement
I got this as a gift for my husband. We were doing a little redecorating and this drill/driver was mighty useful. It’s pivoting head is fantastic for getting into tight places. We hung a few new curtain rods up and it would have taken a whole lot more time to complete the job with a manual screwdriver. A quick click into the right angle position and the curtain rod hooks were up in no time. For a battery powered sleek drill & driver, the Bosch PS11-102 packs quite a punch. My husband is very happy with it!
Great but no torque adjustment
Excellent. It does exactly as described. It doesn’t have adjustable torque. You can easily strip screws. You have to go slow and feel it. I stop it and use it a bit like a wrench to feel the tightness. Not having an adjustable torque makes it a bit inconvenient but enough for not using. It drills well for soft metals.
Abruptly stopped working after a handful of uses
I absolutely loved this drill until it abruptly stopped working about 18 months after I bought it. I didn’t use it very often, so I didn’t realize that it was broken until it was out of warranty. It worked fine when I put it away. When I tried to use it a few months later it was dead as a doornail. The battery pack appears to be fully charged (charger light shows steady green). But when the battery is inserted into the drill, the charge lights on the drill do not come on and the drill has no power at all.
not a precision tool
Has the worst chuck runout of any drill I have used and I have many. Even at the sale price of $ 72 it is not worth it As other have said the ergonomics is not great and I have large hands. . I am please with the other 4 ,12v Bosch tools I own. This is going back. My DeWalt angle drill 14.4 v is a much better tool and is similar in size with much more torque and no noticeable run out.
Needed for Opal Sands project
This is a light tool and you can use it ANYWHERE, it is as handy as it gets. I can’t explain what I can do with this tool because it would take up too much room. But it is useful and the only way you can understand me is by buying it. It gets in to areas where you know a normal drill driver can’t get too. It is either the drill is too big and you got no other way to do this BUT this tool. LOVE IT. When you buy this tool make sure that you buy an extra battery because your going to need it
Pros – Well made, good battery life.
I really like Bosch tools and have had good luck with them
Not a tool most people use very often (except electricians and other specialty uses), and I don’t either. But when you need one, the substitute items are inadequate. I really like Bosch tools and have had good luck with them. This is just another of my good experiences with Bosch. Wish all of them still came with the nice hard cases. But if I have to make a choice between cheapening the tool or cheapening the case, I’ll gladly use the fabric case.
Problem installing battery into charger.Bat 414 into Charger330. Almost returned the whole item.
I have not tried the machine on yet. HOWEVER, just trying to get the battery INTO the charger was frustrating. The battery would not fit into the charger and finally I angled the battery back enough that it fit into the proper position. Here’s hoping the rest of the machine works better. I had put alcohol around the battery before attempting to install it correctly! RGE
