Made awesome tool drawer kit!
So far so good. I got this replaced because my original one had a loose part inside so Amazon was kind enough to replace the whole thing. I want to share how I used the original box to make a cool handy and easy to make tool drawer. My drawer was a little too small so I trimmed off one edge and relocated the tools to the side. I added 3m tape on each side to hold it in place and a towel underneath to provide more support. Love it and puts a smile on my face everytime I open the kitchen drawer haha
Small but strong.
Great kit. I am a woman, so I appreciate the smaller size of the drill and how lightweight it is. I have small hands, so the drill fits perfectly. And dont let its size fool you. I was able to drill in concrete walls with no problem (NOTE: the bits included are only for wood, you need to buy separately concrete drill bits). The battery lasts a long time. I did not charge it when I first received it until about 3 weeks after and it still had charge in it. Has all the tools one may need. I did buy a tool box and transferred all the tools to it, just to have everything more organized and easily visible and to temper my OCD. Great package deal. Very happy with it.
Great kit for a great value
I finally decided to buy a drill after my most recent move. I had things to install around the house, my dresser needed new holes drilled for the mirror attachment, curtains to hang, and I didn’t want to have to have everything ready to go all in one day so I could rent a drill. Plus, as a renter, 2-3 drill rentals equals the cost of this kit, and this is obviously a much better value, so if you have the money in your budget, absolutely buy. My boyfriend’s response when he saw this kit: “how much did this cost? I want one for myself!” Everything fits nicely in the bag–however, I do wish it came with some smaller pockets/compartments for the small, sharp things. I grabbed an old makeup bag for the little things and tossed it into the larger bag it came with. I’m sure eventually I’ll upgrade to a better project bag, but this works for now. The drill did have a little trouble when we hit studs, but did great with drywall and the furniture. Powerful enough for anything I would probably be doing, but definitely will need to upgrade for any heavy-duty building. Definitely would recommend for the hobbyist crafter, fix-it-yourself-er, or renter.
So so happy to have a toolkit with a rechargeable screw driver at a reasonable price. We have not used this set for any sort of intense home repair but so far so good. To screw in or unscrew things into dry wall or put some ikea furniture together, this powerdrill has been great. My only complaint has to do with the multibit screwdriver. I don’t know what happened but interchanging the bits worked great for the first week, and by the second week wouldn’t hold anything and became useless. Luckily we had a spare lying around the house that didn’t come with the kit. Kind of a shame but overall I would say everything other than the multibit screw driver worked as expected (hence the lost star). We haven’t used the hole saw attachments or any thing heavy duty but I think for DIY projects it’ll hold up well over time. The little bag that it comes with hold everything. I don’t know how long the bag will last, it isn’t the most sturdy bag, but for a place to toss everything it’ll hold up.
This is a nice tool kit for doing things around the house
This is a nice tool kit for doing things around the house. I normally try to stray away from anything that uses batteries because they always seem to die right when you need them most, but this drill was still going strong after doing a few different tasks without a charge. That, and the battery seems to charge fairly quickly as well.
I wanted just the drill but with such a small price difference, I decided to get the set (it was on sale for just $50 from Amazon).
Buyer beware bag not made for all tools. Bad finish on hole saws
From the pictures you would think the bag featured would be set up for all the tools shown, it is not. It is made to hold the drill. You could throw everything into the bag but there are no compartments so everything will just be loose and the bits will probably poke through the bag. As far as quality it is Black and Decker so it does what is suppose to. However the hole saws look like they were scrapped up a bit before they were put it the box. The teeth look fine but the finish on them is scrached up
Great product for the price!
This was one of my better impulse purchases! The drill is perfect for those needs around the house and outdoors. The battery life is excellent so far. I was using the drill with a furniture wax buffer and the battery lasted quite well without needing to be recharged. The hole bits were sharp enough to go through cork tile and particle board without any shredding of the cork! The only cons about this set is the bag being too small and all the attachments not having a dedicated storage container. I had a small locking lid plastic container that I am using to put all of the bits and smaller hand tools in. The larger hand tools will fit in the bag with the drill and charger with this container but it is a tight fit. I ended up buying a larger $20 tool bag so I didn’t have to stuff everything in that smaller bag so that the charger will not become damaged and I will also not have to worry about leaving something behind having to unpack the smaller bag to get to what I need.
Surprisingly good set of tools
Surprisingly good set of tools. I was moving out of my house and my old Dewalt batteries were gone. It cost the same to buy a whole set than a new battery. These new lithium batteries are amazing. This thing went days without needing to be charged. Even a contractor asked to use it to install it since his crapped out on him. No problems for him and its needed use. The pliers, hammer, drill bits, and even wood hole drill things worked great. I love that it comes with a bag. Everything just sits in it and its not hard to find what youre looking for even if it ends up on the bottom. The circular wood cutters are a bit sharp but thats fine. Just want where you’re sticking your fingers when you’re looking for something. I do have to admit the razor cutter “stopper” broke the second I tried to use it. Not a deal breaker though and the clip was a bit cheap. .The tape measure saved me a couple times since you know how those can suddenly disappear but this one kept its place always in the bag. I would definitely buy another set. Definitely recommend.
